Feminist Fightback Policy Day
August 28, 2008
Sorry for the short notice on this.
Feminist Fightback will be having a policy day this Saturday 2-6pm at the Arbour Centre in Stepney Green, 100 Shandy Street, London E1. It is open to all self-identified women, which means that transwomen and intersex women are very welcome indeed.
The purpose of the policy day is to set ourselves some clear goals and develops some campaigns working towards those goals for the next 12 months. Feminist Fightback believes that all forms of oppression are interconnected, and so all of our feminist campaigns will also be anti-racist and anti-capitalist.* We will do our best to re-imburse or at least partially subsidise the travelling expenses of low-wage and unemployed women. Childcare will be provided, please contact me on manchester3rdwave@gmail.com if you need childcare.
Even if you’ve never been to a Feminist Fightback meeting before, you are still welcome to attend this meeting.
* Or at least we will try very hard to make sure they are.
